Michelin Appoints Selleck as President of New North America
The reporter learned on October 24, 2011 that Michelin recently appointed Pete Selleck as the new president of Michelin North America Inc., and his predecessor, Richard Wilkerson, retired.
Selleck has been working for Michelin for 29 years and is now responsible for the tire business of Michelin North America (including the United States, Canada, and Mexico). Prior to this, Selleck served as president of the truck business at Michelin's headquarters in France.
The 56-year-old Selleck has made significant contributions to the company, including the introduction of X-One truck tires to the North American market, the refurbishment of truck tire production plants in Michelin Europe and North America, and the expansion of Michelin's production capacity in China, India and Brazil.
Selleck will also hold a number of positions including vice president of tire business for Michelin America and Canada, chief operating officer of Michelin Americas Small Tires, and chief operating officer of Michelin's European passenger and light truck replacement tires business.
