Test the heat loss of the vacuum furnace
During the heat preservation phase of the heating temperature uniformity test, the steady power consumption was measured at the same time to obtain the total amount of heat lost through the heat insulation layer and lost in the water jacket of the furnace shell. Heat loss tests were performed both in radiant heating and in convection heating. Heat loss tests were performed both on opening and closing of the cooling nozzle cover under radiant heating and convection heating. The heat loss test for convective heating once again shows the advantages of this patented capped nozzle. When the cover is forcibly opened, the heat loss is increased by 60% to 85% when it is closed. For radiant heating, the effect of opening or closing the cover plate on heat loss is negligible.
Furnace cooling performance. In the cooling test, the same workpiece as the heating test was used. The cooling system of the GV6060 is designed so that the hot gas flow through the workpiece passes through the vane first and then forced into the heat exchanger. This arrangement ensures that all the air flow through the blades flows through the heat exchanger.
It also ensures that the workpiece in the furnace can be cooled to the same temperature as the cooling water inlet as much as possible, since the air stream will not be compressed after it flows through the heat exchanger. The standard water-cooled motor has a power of 160 kW. The cooling test is carried out under 2 bar nitrogen. Compared to other 2 bar nitrogen quench furnaces using nitrogen, the cooling rate of the test piece seems to be good. When cooling with 2 bar, the current of the water-cooled motor never needs to exceed its normal current, so the advantages of the water-cooled motor cannot be demonstrated in this test. Later, we proposed to increase the size of the cooling fan to take full advantage of the additional capabilities of the water-cooled motor.
