1. What damaged my device?

Power surge protector (about 40KA), and finally install a third-level power surge protector (10KA-40KA) at the front of the device. 5. How to install the lightning arrester?

First, the lightning protection device needs to bleed the current and must be grounded. Secondly, the lightning protection device needs to be connected in parallel or in series between the protection device and the signal channel; in addition, the input terminal (IN) of the signal lightning protection device is connected to the signal channel, and the output terminal (OUT) is connected to the protected device and installed close to the protected device, and cannot be reversed. Then, connect the grounding wire of the lightning arrester to the grounding bar of the lightning protection system. The shorter the wiring, the better, not more than 1m.

6. Shielding measures should be done well

This may be a point that is often overlooked. The LAN and telephone lines in the equipment room are not shielded (ie, there is no metal trunking), and there are certain deficiencies. Therefore, the metal line slot is added to each line of the equipment room to shield the telephone and the network line, and the equipotential grounding at both ends of the metal line slot can effectively prevent the lightning surge.

7. Precautions for lightning protection

The quality of lightning protection devices on the market is uneven now. The performance of some imported brands' lightning arresters is really good, but the price is too high, and many of them are OEM in China. In addition, some lightning protection companies, small workshops, products have not been certified and filed by the lightning protection center, the quality is difficult to guarantee.
