A Summary of Production and Sales of Vehicle Diesel Engine Industry in February 2012

In February 2012, the country’s auto production was 1,606,651, an increase of 23.79% compared with the previous period and an increase of 28.48% year-on-year. Sales of 1,056,061 vehicles were up 12.75% from the previous month and a year-on-year increase of 24.51%. From January to February 2012, the country’s auto production and sales were 2,903,495 units respectively. 2,954,270 vehicles, a year-on-year decrease of 4.93% and 5.96% respectively. In February, China's engine production and sales completed 152,1600 sets and 1,525,486 sets respectively. From January to February 2012, a total of 2,726,812 sets of production and sales and 2,673,193 sets were completed, representing a decrease of 5.67% and 10.91% respectively over the previous year.

In February 2012, the production and sales of diesel engines in China completed 342,977 sets and 366,010 sets respectively. From January to February of 2012, a total of 581,025 sets and 567,581 sets were completed, a cumulative decrease of 17.13% and 22.06% respectively over the previous year.

Diesel engine output

From the perspective of the diesel output in February 2012: Yuchai, China FAW, Quanchai, Yunnei Power, Weichai

Jiangling Holdings, Dongfeng Motor, Shandong Huayuan Laidong, Chaochai, and Weichai Power Yangchai ranked among the top 10 diesel engine manufacturers, with output of 63,940 units, 47,617 units, 41,595 units, 24,005 units, 22,383 units, and 19,241 units respectively. 15,967 units, 15,703 units, 15,541 units, and 14,571 units respectively accounted for 18.64%, 13.88%, 12.13%, 7.00%, 6.53%, 5.61%, 4.66%, 4.58%, 4.53%, and 4.25% of the total output of diesel engines. The above-mentioned ten companies produced a total of 280,563 diesel engines, accounting for 81.80% of the total diesel engine production.

From January-February 2012 diesel output: Yuchai, China FAW, Quanchai, Yunnei Power, Weichai, Jiangling Holdings, Dongfeng Motor, Shandong Huayuan Laidong, Zhaochai, and Weichai Power Yangchai Diesel Ranked among the top ten diesel engines for cumulative production, with output of 107,466 sets, 76,519 sets, 7,1080 sets, 40,269 sets, 38,989 sets, 33,454 sets, 27,932 sets, 27,057 sets, 25,648 sets, and 24,962 sets, respectively. 18.50%, 13.17%, 12.23%, 6.93%, 6.71%, 5.76%, 4.81%, 4.66%, 4.41%, 4.30%. The above-mentioned ten companies produced a total of 473,376 sets, accounting for 81.47% of the total cumulative production of diesel engines. In January-February 2012, cumulative production of the top 10 diesel engine manufacturers was cumulatively compared with the same period of last year.
