(1) Current distribution A typical high frequency transformer secondary winding has several parallel coils. Each secondary winding is coupled to the same primary winding. (6) Savings and the cost of components connected to it Because of its small leakage inductance, the switching losses are very low and the stress on the connected components is reduced. Therefore, the components connected to it can use lower-cost, low-power-rated components.
(7) Excellent heat dissipation characteristics High-frequency transformers are small components with a high surface area to volume ratio and very short thermal channels. It is good for heat dissipation. The interturn loss between the primary and secondary windings is small. This magnetic core's unique geometry can effectively reduce core losses. So it can achieve high flux density. It can work between -40°C and 130°C.
(8) Low Leakage The good coupling between the inductor winding and the winding can keep the leakage inductance between winding turns to a minimum. The output-to-auxiliary components are short-circuited and tightly assembled, so the leakage inductance across the windings is also minimal.
(9) Excellent high frequency characteristics Prior to this, when the transformer was operated at a high frequency, the switching loss was increased and the transformer was overheated. The appearance of flat transformers has solved these problems. Flat-plate transformers can be designed as high-frequency transformers, providing an economical and good transformer module. It can work between 100kHz and 500kHz.
(10) Simple structure The high-frequency transformer consists of a small number of components and a minimum number of windings. This module is particularly suitable for automated assembly.
(11) Low profile The magnetic core used in the flat transformer is small and can be arranged on the surface of the flat plate. Each core unit has an outer diameter of 8mm to 25mm.
(12) High dielectric strength High-frequency transformers easily insulate according to the required number of insulation layers and thickness. Dielectric insulation can be performed according to the customer's requirement for leakage distance. The withstand voltage between the primary and secondary windings is greater than 40000V.
