American Axle Manufacturing AAM Opens Winter Testing Ground in Sweden

AAM, the American manufacturer of axles, announced that it has opened a winter testing ground in Arjeplog, Sweden.

The test site is only 60 miles from the Arctic Circle and has been exposed to low temperatures, snow, or even frost for a long time, providing excellent natural conditions for AAM's customer collaboration, product validation, and demonstration of the latest technology product performance.

The test site has a dedicated R&D, testing and development area, and a private work area to keep customer data confidential. The test site provides 15 unique winter road test runways and private lake test areas.

Barrett said: "Sweden's winter test site is an ideal place for advanced product technology development and testing. These advanced technologies include AAM's EcoTrac(TM) all-wheel drive system and e-AAM's plug-in hybrid, electric all-wheel drive. System, electric vehicle system, etc."
