On August 15, the First National Evaporation and Crystallization Technology Conference was held in Shijiazhuang. Nearly one hundred representatives from industry organizations, research institutes and related companies attended the meeting. Participating expert representatives conducted in-depth discussions on advanced evaporation and crystallization technology development at home and abroad, anti-fouling technology for evaporation equipment, waste (heat) heat utilization in evaporation process, and desalination evaporator technology.

The anti-scaling problem of evaporation equipment is a problem that must be addressed in chemical production. According to Zhang Shaofeng, professor of Hebei University of Technology, the common anti-scaling and evaporation equipment currently has a certain anti-scaling effect, but at the expense of heat transfer efficiency, increased energy consumption, and increased equipment cost. In the evaporation of some of the easily fouled materials, especially when the dirt is hard, the anti-scaling effect is not ideal. He suggested that suitable evaporation equipment should be selected according to the mechanism of different materials fouling, and the promotion of vapor-liquid-solid three-phase circulating fluidized bed evaporation prevention and descaling technologies should be encouraged.

Zhao Heli, director of the Institute of Seawater Desalination and Comprehensive Utilization of the State Oceanic Administration of China, said at the meeting that low-temperature multi-effect distillation seawater desalination technology is one of the seawater desalination technologies that China encourages to develop. Large-scale plant deployment is its main development direction. However, the seawater desalination device has a large size, a complicated internal structure, and requires a high processing precision, and also puts forward new requirements for the manufacture of an evaporator. In the future, the industry should work hard to reduce the cost of multi-effect distillation seawater desalination plants, improve plant performance, and reduce the cost of seawater desalination technology. The adoption of high-efficiency heat transfer technology, use of inexpensive construction materials, and integrated processing and manufacturing technologies are also its major development directions.

Therefore, the air flow speed is the most fundamental control factor of the fluidized bed dryer, and the appropriate air flow speed should be between making the material layer begin to fluidize and bringing the material out.
