Global market value of pesticides increased by 1.1% in 2010

The data includes all crop protection and non-crop agrochemical products, among which the market value of crop protection products increased from US$37.9 billion in 2009 to US$39.5 billion in 2010, an increase of 1.2%.

In Africa and the Middle East, sales of agricultural chemicals in these regions have increased due to the growth in exports of fruits, vegetables and flowers in Kenya, Tanzania and North Africa. In addition, higher cotton prices are also one of the drivers of growth in the agricultural chemical market.
