More than six months later, the Jiangsu Electric Power Research Institute of Electric Power successfully developed a smart meter type three-dimensional laser inspection system on August 26, and applied the laser three-dimensional inspection technology to the smart meters for the first time in the system of the State Grid Corporation of China.

Jiangsu University of Science and Technology cooperated with Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics, Yangzhou University and other universities to determine the algorithm and scheme according to the type structure and detection requirements of the smart meter, and successfully developed a smart meter type three-dimensional laser detection system. The detection system is based on the principle of optical triangulation. It includes the hardware and software systems for smart meter type detection, mechanical platform, and electromechanical control system. It can perform automatic measurement and display of results.
