Most of the industrial anhydrous sodium sulfate is produced using a two-step process. In the first step, the mirabilite or the double salt containing sodium sulfate is precipitated, and the second step is to process the selected thenardite into a finished product.
The method for preparing the mirabilite from the natural salt (halogen) water or the artificial salt (halogen) water containing Na 2 SO 4 is the beach method and the factory method (freezing method).

1. Beach Law
This method is the most economical method for processing natural salt (halogen) water and artificial salt (halogen) water. It mainly uses solar energy to evaporate water and self-freeze. This method is applicable to dry climates, sedimentary salt mines, dry salt lakes or underground brines and intercrystalline brines.
Depending on the size of the production task, you can use a salt bath or a beach system. The number of salt water tanks depends on the processing technology. The size of the salt pond depends on the production season, the total amount of processing solution, the climatic conditions and the nature and concentration of the dissolved salt. The processing of the brine can be carried out either statically or dynamically. Static processing is the use of winter crystallized mirabilite, such as Shanxi Yuncheng Salt Lake.

2. Factory Law
The factory method is a method for preparing crystals of Glauber's salt by freezing a brine containing Na 2 SO 4 , which is a cooling crystallization by vacuum crystallization or heat exchange with a refrigerant.
The crystallization mode can be selected according to the technical and economic effects and the use of the mother liquor. Vacuum cooling crystallization can be used to achieve a temperature of 0 to 5 ° C. The mother liquor is used as a waste liquid. The cooling crystallization method using a refrigerant for heat exchange is used from natural brine and artificially prepared seawater-type brine, or from a leachate obtained by extracting a mirabilite mine from a subsurface in an average temperature region.
