The ABS that we have followed in those years

On July 1, 2016, all light trucks will be forced to install ABS, and ABS will once again become the focus of the industry. From the day of the birth of ABS, it has been the topic of people's discussion for half a century, the focus of chase, and the never-falling star in the auto industry. Why "she" is so popular? Let's go and see "her" grow up.

ABS looks like you are chasing "her" for everyone

ABS refers to the Antilock Brake System, the Chinese name is the anti-lock braking system, we can literally know that its function is anti-lock. Anti-locking is to prevent the tire from locking due to the control of the braking force, reducing the braking force at the critical point where locking will soon occur, and then increasing, decreasing, and repeatedly achieving a critical state of locking and not locking. .

Anything from scratch, from being to excellent, ABS is also the case, the earliest cars do not have this function of ABS. The car was born in 1885, ABS was born in the 1970s, and China began to gain popularity in the 21st century. At that time, ABS was the black technology of the time and there were countless pursuers. In those years, we always asked: "This car has ABS."

At the same time, this provision is also the third mandatory stipulation of ABS following the mandatory installation of ABS on medium-duty trucks on September 1st, 14 and mandatory installation of ABS on September 1st, 15th. In addition, there is no requirement that ABS not be on the market for passenger vehicles. All vehicles in the country will be equipped with ABS function in the future. Those ABSs we have pursued in the past have officially retired.

There are several ABS, which is your "vegetable"

ABS has two classification methods, one is classified according to control force, and the other is classified according to control channels.

According to the control force classification can be divided into four types: hydraulic, pneumatic, electronic, electromagnetic. As for the difference, everyone should understand it well. There is not much to say here. The hydraulic type is mainly used for passenger cars and small cars; the pneumatic type is mainly used for large vehicles such as trucks; and the electronic and electromagnetic types are new types of driving methods and are generally applied to high-end automobiles.

According to the channel classification can be divided into the following four:

1. Four-channel type: Four-channel ABS has four wheel speed sensors, and each brake pressure regulator device is set in the pipeline leading to the four wheel brake cylinders, and is independently controlled to form a multi-channel control mode. . The advantage is that it can be controlled independently, with high accuracy and reliability. The disadvantages are high cost, complicated structure and difficult maintenance. Currently used more in high-end cars.

2. Three-channel type: Three-channel ABS is independent control of the two front wheels, and the two rear wheels are controlled together according to the principle of low selection (the end with low adhesion), also called hybrid control. Advantages: It can ensure that the braking force of the left and right rear wheels is equal under various conditions, ensuring good directional stability when the vehicle is braked under various conditions. Independent control of the two front wheels can make full use of the adhesion of the two front wheels. However, because the imbalance of the two front wheel braking forces has a relatively small influence on the stability of the car's driving direction, and the influence of the driver's steering operation can be corrected, the three-channel ABS is widely used in small cars.

3. Two-channel type: Two-channel ABS is difficult to achieve in terms of directional stability, steering control, and braking performance.

4. One channel type: One-channel ABS is often called single-channel ABS. It is equipped with a brake pressure regulator in the rear brake master and a wheel speed sensor on the rear axle main reducer (also on the rear wheel Install one each). It is currently used in trucks because it can ensure equal control of the rear wheels and improve the truck's directional stability. The advantages are simple structure, convenient maintenance and low price.

5. Multi-channel type: only used in more than two models, the principle and advantages are the same as the four-channel type, but only increase with the number of axes.

ABS officially landed, although it faded out, it was even more beautiful

The overall popularity of ABS should be a good thing for us. It is known that ABS can be used without knowing that it may have doubts. First of all, the cost of the car is the drawback. The advantages of ABS needless to say, high safety factor and so on.

Today we have a look at the cost issue. Everyone knows that the cost of a car is divided into two aspects: the purchase of a car and the maintenance of a car. Adding ABS will certainly increase the cost of car purchases. However, in keeping the car, ABS will not allow the tires to lock up. Naturally, there will be no friction and friction. This will greatly reduce the wear of the tires, especially for the card members. Tires are also big spending. Then there is a protection for the brake pads. Due to the ABS's upper limit of braking force, the brake pads wear out very little. In this way, the cost of keeping a car is greatly reduced, so in the long run, the cost is not a disadvantage, and it is a good advantage for a specific group of people.

Although ABS has been fully implemented, we still need to continue our efforts in the optimization and cost reduction of ABS. In particular, on the road to localization, now all of the hydraulic, electronic, and electromagnetic monopolies are in the hands of these foreign brands, such as the Continental Group. The only type of pressure is also a joint venture between these foreign companies and the Continental Group. So although we fade away, we still need to work hard to make it even more beautiful.
