Adding chemical additives to the concentrated filtration process is one of the powerful measures to change this situation. Through the action of the medicament, it can help to improve the efficiency of concentration and filtration, and reduce the moisture of the dehydrated product. The agent added to help the particles flocculate and settle during the concentration process is called a coagulant. The agent added in the filtration process to increase the filtration speed and reduce the moisture of the filter cake is called a filter aid. Sometimes it is customary to refer to these two additives as filter aids or dewatering aids.
