Wind power giant Vestas signs first wind turbine order

Vestas China, the world's leading producer of wind power equipment, has announced that it has signed an order for the first V100 wind turbine in the Chinese market with Datang Hubei New Energy. The contract includes 27 V8.6 turbines with a total capacity of 48.6 MW and will be installed at Datang Renewable Energy's Longgan Lake wind farm in Hubei. The annual average wind speed of the wind farm is about 5 seconds/meter, which belongs to the ultra-low wind speed wind field. It is understood that with the development of high wind speed wind field on the global land, low wind speed wind farms have attracted the attention of global wind power developers. The V100 two megawatt platform wind turbine is a fan product specially developed for low wind speed wind farms.
