One millimeter is equal to 1000 microns and 0.1 micron is one ten-thousandth of a millimeter. If the hair is used as a reference, 0.1 micron is equivalent to one- 900th of a single hair.
In fact, at the JAC Navistar Engine Manufacturing Center, high-precision testing equipment such as 0.1 micron can be seen everywhere. From machining to finished goods storage, a Maisford engine needs to pass 20 tests. The integration of machining, installation and inspection, and manufacturing edge inspection are a distinctive feature of the Maersvault engine production process.
The most demanding process and most complex processing of the cylinder processing line is equipped with the most advanced automatic mechanical processing equipment such as the German HEGETERT CNC machine tool and the German NAGEL machine, with a processing precision of 1 micron. Not only that, but also an Italian MARPOSS intelligent inspection station with a detection accuracy of up to 0.1 μm is installed between each process. Like an unarmed guard, Marposs Intelligent Inspection Station only recognizes the inspection data. If the machining accuracy does not meet the standards, it will never allow the components to enter the next process. There are 8 test stations like this in Maisford.

Maisford's assembly process is also harsh. The assembly of cylinder block and cylinder head has a gluing process, which is done manually by many companies. In the Maasfu engine production line, the gluing process is completely completed by robots to ensure the accuracy of the amount of glue applied and the glue application position, and to avoid the quality problems of engine oil leakage caused by uneven painting. Not only that, after the assembly of the cylinder block and the cylinder head, it is also tested by the long cylinder oil channel leak tester to ensure that the engine cylinder block cylinder head is tightly fitted.

In most companies, after the engine is assembled, it only passes the ignition heat test. However, in the production process initiated by Maisford, before the hot test, each engine also added a cold machine test, referred to as cold test.
The cold test is to drive the engine with the motor under the condition that the engine does not add fuel or coolant, and it is tested whether the operation of the various components of the engine under running condition meets the standards. The engine cold test is currently the latest test technology. There are only a few engine factories in China. Cold machine test can identify 70% of quality hazards on the assembly line. The remaining 30% is submitted to the heat engine test.

After passing the cold test and hot test engine, after the external painting, it can go offline. However, before the storage, special inspections must be conducted on the engine by a special person. Only through the layer quality checkpoints can the certificate be affixed to all engines that meet the standards for testing and testing.

Jianghuai Navistar has a highly automated, digital, and flexible engine manufacturing center consisting of six CNC machining lines with a processing accuracy of 1 micron, a fully automated assembly line, and a fully automated spraying line.
